Day 51: Get Heaven’s Perspective
By Reinhard Bonnke
Isaiah, Chapter 6:1-3, gives us a perspective from the throne room of the Lord. “In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!” The seraphim used their third pair of wings to fly. As they flew, they cried out, saying, “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of Hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory.” They flew and sang. It was worship on the very highest scale! The beat of their wings was music. The amazing thing about these heavenly beings is that they did not cry, “Love, love, love,” or “Peace, peace, peace,” but a triune “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts.”
The zenith of praise and the highest form of worship are always connected with the holiness and glory of God. How could these angels say that the whole earth is full of God’s glory? Had they never heard of the heathen and atheistic empires, of war, hatred, greed, and suffering? Had they never heard of sickness and disease? Yes, of course they had, but they saw them from a higher viewpoint as they flew before the throne. They had God’s perspective, not the human view. Soaring above the earthly scene, with the total situation revealed, they burst into rapturous exclamation. Scanning horizons beyond the sight of earth dwellers, the skies of all tomorrows, they sang, “The whole earth is full of His glory.”
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by what is going on in the world today; if you’re feeling dwarfed by the mountain of circumstances you find yourself in, you need to go up and get the throne perspective! Get the throne perspective of the world—get the throne perspective of your life! The Bible says Believers are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Eph. 2:6). What is your angle? Do you have a molehill aspect or an Everest view? You ascend to God’s throne and thus His perspective, when you praise and worship.
You see, praise lifts you! Doubt, fear, and murmuring, only serve as weights on your back and boots of lead on your feet, but in worship, we contemplate the throne, the power of the Lord, and His holiness! There we rest under His protection.
In the throne room, Isaiah was equipped, sent, and cleansed with the altar fire in order to be God’s servant with perfect integrity. Oh, glory to God! When we serve the Lord with purity of motive, rejoicing in His presence before His throne, we are invincible, immune, impregnable! Trouble starts when get caught up in the cares of this world. When we allow fear to overwhelm us, we lose the throne perspective. However, elevated by worship to the third dimension, our character will be armor-plated; our fears will subside, and our faith will be strengthened, in the presence of the Lord of Hosts!
